The Pinhole Project
So I’ve taken it upon myself to build a wooden 4x5 pinhole camera. I’ve been wanting to do this for a while, and have finally decided to go through with it. A New Year’s kind of project, I guess. The progress is slow, as I’m doing everything with simple hand tools - no Dremels, routers, or bandsaws. Only a pull saw, a chisel, some glue, and a coping saw, though I may need...
Well, I just did a toning workshop last night and I gotta say, it’s a new and exciting time in the darkroom! Other than having a difficult time getting the enlarger to focus up properly (that damned Acros is just too fined-grained!), and the horrible smell, it was a blast. We used a sepia/selenium toner and a blue toner. I like the sepia, but I think I’d prefer something a little more...
